Spider-Man:
Into the Spider-Verse
I’ve recently watched
an animated superhero film “Spider-Man:
Into the Spider-Verse” and I was impressed by it.
The film takes place in New York in one of the alternate realities. The main character, Miles Morales, becomes Spider-Man of his universe and unites with Spider-Men (Peter B. Parker, Gwen Stacy, Peter Porker, Penny Parker and Spider-Man Noir) from other alternate realities to stop Kingpin from destroying the multiverse.
The most important and notable thing about this film is the animation itself; it is outstanding. The production company developed a unique style and software specifically for this movie. It was designed to resemble the experience of reading comic books. The action scenes were exciting, well-paced and easy to follow. The voice actors gave good performances. I didn’t like the characters of Peter Porker, Penny Parker and Spider-Man Noir. I think they were not a necessary addition, and I found it hard to care about them. Also, the main villain was somewhat bland, and the plot was basic and predictable. However, all of this didn’t detract much from the film and didn’t make it less enjoyable and fun.
The lessons of this film weren’t really new or groundbreaking since all of the Spider-Man related media has very similar moral messages. In this case it’s “anyone can be Spider-Man” and, of course, the iconic “with great power comes great responsibility”.
I would
recommend this movie to everybody because it’s a good family comedy, action
film with PG rating.
Right now I’m
giving “Spider-Man: Into the
Spider-Verse” a 6.8
out of 10.
